About Medical Legal Strategies

Tina Minkel RN, BSN, PHN, CLNC, founder of Medical Legal Strategies offers over 16 years of clinical and administrative experience in case management, outpatient and ambulatory care settings, emergency trauma, education and forensics. Tina is a member of the National Alliance of Certified Legal Nurse Consultants, the International Association of Forensic Nurses and holds a leadership role in a large forensics organization.

Over the years, Medical Legal Strategies has established a network of highly specialized Legal Nurse Consultants; experts in the medical world. Our nurses are the first responders to the medical needs of the patients, they are the "eyes and ears" of the physicians, the cream of the crop...they are the experts the physicians trust and the "insiders in your litigation team".

Our expertise incorporates cases involving both civil and criminal; failure to diagnose breast cancer, brain damage baby cases, wrongful death, and catastrophic injuries. Forensic cases include homicide and suicide investigations, rape and sexual assault, injurious forensic cases involving sharp and blunt force trauma, ballistic trauma from firearms, electrical injuries, wound interpretations, autopsy reports and death investigations.

As a medical educator, Tina provides specialized training for both medical and non-medical professionals in the fields of forensics, post trauma care, wound care management, infectious disease, hiv/aids and sexual assault/sexually transmitted diseases. Tina also provides educational training for paralegals, attorneys and medical professionals regarding forensic nursing issues, medical documentation, standards of care and medical compliance.
